Hyouka

Synopsis

Oreki Houtarou is a minimalistic high school boy. One day, he joins the Classic Literature Club at his elder sister's request.

There he meets Chitanda Eru, Fukube Satoshi, and Ibara Mayaka. Chitanda is a calm beautiful girl but she turns into an embodiment of curiosity once she says, "I'm interested in it (Watashi, Kininarimasu)". Fukube is a smiling boy with a fantastic memory who calls himself a database. Ibara is a short girl and is strict with others and herself. She loves Fukube, but he always dodges her approaches.

They begin to investigate a case that occurred 45 years ago. Hints of the mystery are buried in an old collection of works of the former members of Classics Club. The collection is titled "Hyouka."

Hyouka is a mystery themed anime done by KyotoAnimation and originally a light novel written by Honobu Yonezawa. This series is about the 4 friends in the Classics Club and how they unravel through the mysterious events that happened about the past and the current situations their involved with. Oreki Houtarou is an average high school student with a very lazy life style. He does not participate on activities that will cost energy. In spite of these he is very good at mystery solving if he tries to think about them. On the other hand Chitanda Eru is a diligent and outstanding student. She is always curious and the only one that can make Oreki do his job. The other two characters are Ibara, Mayaka and Fukube, Satoshi which shown in the description are actually Houtarou's friend.
In this series you will find a different touch on how a mystery show goes. They solve problems with exciting ways and it is always fun but it is not something that will leave you anxious. The characters are lovable while the development within them is not rushed and is at a good phase. How they solve the mysteries is very enticing with the addition of good animation and effects.

Story - (9/10) : It wasn't really anything special though it is something that you will love. Romance isn't really there for this series but there are some so don't expect so much in that regard while the mystery content is always consistent but isn't really strong as you might think. This show is not everyone's cup of tea but if you have interest on an anime that talks all day with deep content then this story fits you well. I give it a high score despite of the mystery's lack of content because I like how light the story is and how it goes around.

Sound - (10/10) : Not only the animation is at the top line for Hyouka. Its opening and Ending theme were very enjoyable. I always listen to them each episode. It will give you excitement every time you hear them. The voice acting is also good. It fits each of them especially Chitanda's voice for me. Background music and sound effects is always there. It also adds to the intensity of the show.

Art - (10/10) : This was Hyouka's icing on the cake. The scenes were eloquent and gorgeous and was an eye candy for all the time. Character designs were also fabulous. Sceneries were beautifully drawn and visual effects are all over the place. There were so much details and sometimes the animation is uniquely done.

Characters - (9/10) : Was beautifully drawn and the characters were easy to love. Their personalities were also unique to each other and Houtarou and Chitanda's weren't tedious. In fact it is one thing that will make you want to be like them especially Houtarou seeing how normal he can be but at the same time becoming the jack of all trades.

Enjoyment - (10/10) : Enjoyed this show from the very beginning till the end. I enjoyed it especially when their at the part of figuring out the mystery. From the opening theme till the ending theme of each episode was good. The animation is also one thing that will make you enjoy this series. Nothing was a dull moment for me.

Overall - (10/10) : Again Hyouka isn't really everyone's cup of tea but for me it is. Action fans might somehow not enjoy it because it lacks of that part but the mystery thing is intensifying as well. For me it is again an excellent show that is worth the time. How the series was done is very remarkable and for the bitter sweet feeling of watching the show is so much enticing that you will crave for more.

This is my second review and this one seems pretty hard for me especially not making any spoilers throughout the review. Again I recommend this show to everyone. It has a unique touch on how you will see this show. Thank you for your time reading hope it helps.

Mirai Nikki or simply Future Diary is an anime full of twist and unexpected events that will surprise and blow your mind. It starts off with our main character Amano Yukiteru or simply Yuki a 14-year old boy who thinks of himself as a bystander and has no social life. He always has a habit of recording the things that happens around him in his cellphone. On the other hand our main female lead Gasai Yuno or just Yuno is a psychotic female stalker who for whatever reason is hopelessly in love with our main guy.

First thing that I have noticed in this anime are those intense scenes and twisting plots that even you spend your day guessing what would happen next you might not guess it right. I enjoyed watching it from beginning till the final episode. This may not be the best anime but I consider it one of those special ones.

Story - 10/10 : Basically top notch, epic is epic. The story goes around mainly with our two main characters with their involvement in the game and with their own love story. Good storyline with a nice and balance progress between the love and the game. Twist are all over the place and you will not see them coming. The love story was awesome again it was unique and it was also very lovable as it is so heartfelt and emotional from time to time. The story with the game was so clever and is one of the reason why this anime becomes so epic. Compared to other love themed anime I have watched, this was intensifying all over the place with no episode leaving you bored. I give this a perfect ten because of the uniqueness and how it puts up with its mystery theme.

Sound - 9/10 : The opening and ending theme was not really so special. What makes it good is the soundtracks and sound effects inserted in each episode. The sounds were clear and fits perfectly in each situations that makes it more epic than it could be.

Art - 9/10 : The character designs were nice and unique. The only thing I have noticed is that there were some scenes where they look pretty awkward. The animation fits perfectly to the story and is well made. The environment was nice though not really special and stunning. Why I give this a score of 9 is because of how it fits with the story.

Characters - 10/10 : Characters were pretty unique if you will try to compare it to most anime. They were lovable especially Yuno's character. A perfect beauty with an intelligent mind but in truth is a crazy and psychotic stalker with a dark past. She is very likable and somehow soft in the eye but when it comes to Yukki she becomes an uncontrollable beast. The others were also good but still Yuno is the most stunning one.

Enjoyment - 10/10 : One of the anime I really enjoyed and yearned to watch from start till end. I enjoyed each of the fighting scenes while the love scenes were also sweet to me. Thing is if your not a gore fan then you might not enjoy some of it but if you can ignore them then I'm sure you will have a good time watching.

Overall
- 10/10 : A great masterpiece with some minor flaws. I watched it as the time it airs so just one episode per week and each week becomes a long one as I wait for each episodes to come. I will always remember this anime as an epic but sweet one.

This is my first review so feel free to correct me if I'm grammatically wrong. Thank you I hope you appreciate it.
